  Dog Crochet Pattern

Materials
3mm and  crochet hook
2 different colour balls of wool
toy filling
stitch marker
embroidery needle and thread
scissors
abbrieveations
sc=single crochet
Muzzle
Cast on 4 in a magic ring
(rnd1-3)sc around (4)
fasten off leaving a 4 inch tail.Embroider on the nose now and lightly stuff
Head
Cast on 6 in a magic ring
(rnd1) increase around (12)
(rnd2)1 sc then 1 increase around  (18)
(rnd3-4)sc around (18)
(rnd5) 1 sc then 1 decrease around (12)
(rnd6) decrease around (6)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.Embroider on the eyes and then lightly stuff.Don't sew the gap closed.
Ears  (make 2)

1 decrease
fasten off leaving a short tail for sewing
Body + Tail
Cast on 6 in a magic ring
(rnd1) increase around (12)
(rnd2) 1 sc then 1 increase around(18)
(rnd3)4 sc then 1 increase repeat this 3 times then 3 sc(21)
(rnd4-9)sc around (21)
(rnd 10)4 sc then 1 decrease repeat this 3 times then 3 sc(18)
(rnd11)1sc then 1 decrease(12)
(rnd12-13)decrease around(6-3)
(rnd14)1 decrease then 1 sc then chain 9 and slip stitch into the furthest chain from the hook
Fasten off and sew in the ends
Collar
chain 11
fasten off leaving a tail
Legs (make 4)
Cast on 4 in a magic ring
(rnd1-6)sc around
Fasten off leaving a tail.Stuff lightly.
Final assembly
Pin all the pieces into place first.Then sew the muzzle onto the head and tuck in any loose ends left.
Sew both ears onto the top of the head just above the eyes.Using the tail left from the head where the gap is sew the
head to the body so that the hole is hidden.Place the collar around the neck and sew it together,sew in any loose ends.
Place all the legs in place and sew them on .Sew in any loose ends.

An increase is 2 sc stitches in the one stitch.
A decrease is 2 stitches crocheted together

Make a magic ring of 6
(rnd1) increase around (12)
(rnd2) 1sc then 1 increase repeat until end of round (18)
(rnd3) 2 sc then 1 increase repeat until end of round (24)
(rnd4-6) sc around
(rnd7) 2 sc then 1 decrease repeat until end of round (18)
(rnd8) 1sc then 1 decrease repeat until end of round (12)
(rnd9) decrease around (6)
Fasten off, stuff firmly, and then use the end tail to sew up the hole. Pull the leftover yarn up through the project, and cut & wiggle the project around until the tail disappears.
